BYTE Lab Benchmark Tests: Compaq vs Zenith

These BYTE Lab benchmark indexes are preliminary, since we
ran them on preproduction units of the new computers, but
the results are interesting. The Compaq LTE is not only the
smallest 12-MHz laptop we've tested, it appears to be one of
the fastest as well. The Zenith SupersPort SX is also among
the fastest 386SX systems, including desktops, that we've
tested. Other systems' ratings are shown for comparison.
None of the units was equipped with a math coprocessor.
 
For all indexes, an 8-MHz IBM PC AT=1. For a full description
