Page Composition on the Sun

Professional Publisher/2 lets you create multicolumn,
illustrated pages with your illustrations anchored to specific
pages (not just text). With its Custom Page feature, you can
anchor graphics to pages and fit text around the graphics as you
paginate the document. Professional Publisher/2 runs on the Sun
3/60 and 3/80 workstations.

Additions to this version include color, a Book feature,
Revision Bars, cross referencing, numeric tables, and automatic
graphical alignment. With the Book feature, you can treat
multiple documents as a unit, collecting multiple tables of
contents and indexes across the entire book. Cross referencing
and automatic numbering can now span a Book's documents. Revision
bars show changes to text, graphics, tables, and callouts, which
you can display when necessary.

The program is published by Information International, Inc.,
which acquired DocuPro, the program's previous publisher, in
May 1989.

Professional Publisher/2 runs under Unix 4.0.3 and features
WYSIWYG display and a window-based interface. You can purchase
the cross referencing, revision bars, book file structure,
drawing, SGML, color, and decimal table column alignment
options separately.

Professional Publisher/2 can run on its own or as part of an
Ethernet-based III network. You can output low-resolution
proofs on PostScript printers and plate-ready film on III
Pagesetters.

Price: $2500 and up.
