E. S. (for expert system) COGO, an AutoCAD Release 10 add-in,
lets you access COGO reference points through an external
database, instead of requiring that you select the point on
screen. According to Applications Publishing, this feature is
useful for engineers who need the hidden data and attributes of
many reference points in a large drawing. You can use more than
100 commands while working on the external database to retrieve
information such as the distance between two reference points.

A new Universal Data Collector converts raw field data into a
representative drawing, while the Master Symbol Library
performs symbol insertion for each COGO reference point that
you've entered via a description code.

Legal descriptions are available on-line and the program can
rescale a drawing, including annotations, to fit a specified
page.

E. S. COGO and E. S. Contour (for contour mapping, plane and
profile modeling, and other representations of data) each
require extended AutoLISP and AutoCAD running on an IBM PC AT
with 640K bytes of RAM nad a hard disk drive.

Price: $2500 each.
