Available in limited numbers, Seiko-Epson's PC286LST pseudocolor
display laptop includes the much same specifications as the
company's LS model. It does not have the LS's the LCD panel,
which offers switch selection of eight-tone black-and-white or
pseudocolor display (light green, red, and yellow). Text display
is in black and white, while graphics display is in pseudocolor.

Seiko-Epson also offers the PC-286VF, a successor to its
PC-286VE. The company says it improved the graphics performance
with dual-port RAM and BIOS upgrades, which it claims give the
computer a 50 percent speed boost in line and circle drawing
time. The PC-286VF comes in models with floppy- or hard-disk
drives. The average access time for the 20-megabyte hard-disk
drive is 40 ms. You can mount up to 12 megabytes of the
14.6-megabyte maximum main memory on the motherboard to free
expansion slots.
