HIMS Technologies is showing for the first time a 20-MHz 386, a
16-MHz 386SX, and a 12-MHz 286.

The LP386-20 is a 20-MHz 386 baby-AT style system that uses
page-mode memory architecture and achieves 3.9 MIPS with zero
wait states, according to HIMS. The system has three 16-bit and
two 8-bit slots, and it supports the 80387 math coprocessor. It
comes standard with a 3.5-inch 1.44-megabyte floppy drive and
1 megabyte of 100-nanosecond SIMM RAM and is upgradeable to 2, 4,
or 8 megabytes. The system supports DOS, Unix, and PC-MOS,
according to HIMS.

The HIMS LP386-SX is similar to the 20-MHz system except that
it runs at 16 MHz.

The LP286-12 is a 12-MHz 286 system that comes with 1 megabyte
of SIMM RAM, which you can upgrade to 4. It also features zero
wait-state performance, clock speed is switchable to 8 MHz,
and supports the 80287 math coprocessor. It comes with a 1.2- or
1.44-megabyte floppy drive, a 40-megabyte hard drive, a 101-key
keyboard, a VGA card, and a 200-watt power supply.

Price: LP386-20, $1999; LP386-SX, $1699; LP286-12, $1599.
