BINLOG provides the ability for a sysop to manipulate and browse
information in Proboard's caller log, BINLOG.PB. Individual call
records may be selected and removed, allowing removal of obscene
names or records of calls from particular callers, or even to
cull the file should it become too large (should you prefer to
not let Proboard do this for you).

BINLOG.PEX must be executed from Proboard, typically from a menu
which provides 'sysop only' access. A sample Proboard v2.00 menu
is provided - BINLOG.PBM - which shows how BINLOG may be installed
into this system. See instructions below for incorporating this
menu into your system.

BINLOG.PEX may be started in one of three modes, depending on the
command line arguments you provide:

BINLOG BFWD Starts in browse forward mode, viewing the oldest
                 entries in the log first
BINLOG BREV Starts in browse reverse mode, viewing the newest
                 entries in the log first
BINLOG PACK Starts in record removal (cull) mode.

Each of these modes requires that you supply responses to a set of
select/exclude prompts so that you may direct BINLOG to display or
remove a specific set of records

WARNING: IF YOU EXECUTE THE PACK OPTION AND SELECT THE DEFAULT
RESPONSE AT EACH PROMPT, ALL RECORDS IN YOUR BINLOG.PB WILL BE
REMOVED! It is wise to use only the browse options until you are
more familiar with the way BINLOG.PEX works.

SELECT PROMPTS (requested for Browse)

Select Local, Remote or All logins ? [l,r,A,ESC]

Select 'L' for local calls only, 'R' for remote calls only,
'A' (or press ENTER) for all, or your ESCAPE key to abort.

Select 1 to 4 line numbers (0 for all) ?

Enter the line numbers you wish to display or cause not to
display. If you simply press ENTER here, all lines are
displayed or excluded, otherwise you may enter up to 4
numbers which represent line numbers (not necessarily in
  the range 1 - 4).

If you enter one or more lines here, you may either select or
exclude the line numbers nominated, depending on your response
to the prompt "Select or Exclude these line numbers?".

Select/Exclude by which name (Blank=All) ?

Pressing ENTER here causes selection or exclusion by name
be skipped. If you enter a name here, that name will be
selected or excluded from the displayed list.

If you enter a name here, it must be identical to the caller
name, nothing except a (case INsensitive) match will be
selected or excluded. You may choose between selecting by
name or excluding all records for the named caller.

Select/Exclude records newer than how many days old (0 for all) ?

If you wish to select/exclude by age, then enter the number
of days here. If you make an entry, you can then either
select or exclude based on that number of days.

The information BINLOG then displays is formatted into columns
with the following headings:

     Rec Record number
    Date Date of login
   Login Time of login
   Logof Time call ended
OLn Time online (BINLOG automatically adjusts for calls
           which cross midnight)
      Li Line number
    Baud Baud rate
DnK Amount downloaded { NOTE: Proboard v2.00 does not
UpK Amount uploaded { currently update these!
      Yl   Times user paged  {
Name Name used to log in

KILL PROMPTS

These are basically the same as the above, except that instead
of prompting with "select" and "exclude", BINLOG requests which
record are to be selected for purging.
