                      RHP TOOLKIT -- OLD REVISION NOTES

                     Revised for RHP Toolkit v1.5 release.
                   =======================================

Text relocated out of RHPTOOLS.TXT on June 11, 2005 for purpose
of cleaning up the primary documentation file. File updated on
Sept. 18, 2005 for release of RHPTEST/LORDTYPE v1.5.

RHPTEST/LORDTYPE v1.5 usage with LORD/32 Beta:  Added 05/24/05.
=========================================================

LORD/32 beta uses the same LORD color codes as DOS LORD does.
It uses the same data files such as SCORE.TXT, for example also.

Both LordType v1.4/v.5 are fully usable with LORD/32 beta.

As long as users of LORD/X Beta on Linux systems can run normal
DOS programs, LORDTYPE MAY work OK with LORD/X Beta. But I make
NO guarantees that it will. I am not a Linux programmer and can
not support programs on Linux systems personally as a result.

Until at least one of the RHP-based IGMs is running under LORD/32,
I can not guarantee that RHPTEST v1.4/v1.5 is compatible with
LORD/32 beta. Hopefully that will be done by the end of 2005.

At any rate, until The Forest Outhouse, The Gateway, LORD Cavern,
and Outlands Tavern have been compiled into 32-bit IGM versions,
no one should have any reason to use RHPTEST under LORD/32.
============================================================

Notations regarding upcoming Lord/32 version of this program:
==========================================================

Neither RHPTEST.EXE or LORDTYPE.EXE are intended for usage in
any way other than from the DOS command prompt. Neither program
uses BBS door game tool-kit code directly. However, RHPTEST uses
the same RHP library unit code as is used by the four IGMs -- The
Gateway, The Forest Outhouse, The L.O.R.D. Cavern, and Outlands
Tavern.

Therefore, RHPTEST.EXE has to be updated to use whichever tool-kit
the four igms end up using. That will be done sometime during
2005 for DOS LORD usage.

A 32-bit version of RHPTEST, called RHPTEST/32, is already being
developed slowly by Jason Brown. However, it is for use with the
DOS LORD rhp-language igms, and is not compatible with Lord/32
beta.

--------------------------------------------
As of last contact with Jason, his C++-based program has not
been completed. It remains in beta development as of Sept.
18th, 2005, when I am releasing RHP Toolkit v1.5 officially.
============================================================

Notations regarding upcoming Lord/32 IGMs/Utilities:
==========================================================
Only two Lord/32 programs are in development, as of 09-18-2005,
which I am able to support. That is Chasware Lpedit/32, a
32-bit BBS door game utility which can be used as a full BBS
door program or in local mode with a Lord/32 beta game.

Chris Martino WAS doing 32-bit igm updates for me, but he
vanished on everyone in late April 2005 and has not been heard
from since then. So every program he was doing for me for
Lord/32 usage has to be recreated later in 2005.

Before he disappeared, he had made available on the Lordlegacy.com
web-site some of the source code he was using to create a new
Lord/32 version of George Batalias' Free World IGM. I was able
to get that code and recompile a new beta version. So I am now
supporting and developing FreeWorld II, which will not be
released until Lord/32 itself is released, or Michael Preslar
has given his permission for release of LORD/32 add-on IGMs
and Utilities. Chasware Lpedit/32 also will be released
officially at that time. End of notes revised 09-18-2005.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Linux Support: I do not know Linux. I have no idea if anyone
will ever make Lord/x specific versions of my IGMs and utilities.
As of September 2005, Lord/X beta does not support IGMs.

No support is offered for usage of my LORD programs on a Linux
system since I have no knowledge of that operating system. If
you are running DOS LORD on a Linux system, and this IGM works
OK in that environment, then I can provide limited support in
that specific situation.

  -- telnet://ztest.myip.us
  Michael Preslar's current BBS address. Test site for LORD/32, etc.

  -- files@lordlegacy.com -- Email address for obtaining betalord.zip,
  b32lord.zip (the Lord/32 beta), betalrd2.zip or betateos.zip files
  from Michael Preslar. You can only request ONE beta archive per
  email message. The messages's subject line MUST say either (without
  quotes) "Send me Lord", "Send me Lord/32", "Send me LORD2", or "Send
  me TEOS". As of early June 2005, there is no Lord/x beta that Michael
  has authorized people to do beta tests of, on their own systems.

  If you wish to beta test Lord/X, you have to do so on Preslar's telnet
  site, using the Internet address listed above. Web Lord is also in
  development and can be beta tested from the same source.
