CASTLE CAMELOT LORD Apps -- Project Notes:
CCL-PROJ.TXT     {May 2005}

My personal LORD Projects plan for Spring 2005:
-----------------------------------------------
1) Add Fairy purchase code to Doofus the Gnome.
Add trade limits, if needed, in Doofus igm.
Add second usage report to the IGM.

2) Add some new events in Gem Trader - Saddle, Horseshoes, etc.
Add second usage report to the IGM.

3) If I can get in contact with Tommy Baker via Doug Rhea, I'm
going to (a) get his permission to distribute Graveyard 3.40p
RTE200 patch update, and (b) to re-create the IGM.

In progress through Doug Rhea of bbsfiles.com web-site.

4) Do thorough testing at occasional periods of Chasware LPEdit
v1.20 to determine which parts are compatible with Lord/32 beta.

LPEDIT/32 is being handled by Chris Martino.

What works: LPEdit usage with Lord/32 beta:
   a) The basic commands for viewing LORD stats. b) Resetting
value of Gold in Bank stat, which Lord/32 accepted afterwards.
----------------------------------------------------------------

ANGEL-to-MannDoor Conversions: Handled by Chris Martino for me:
---------------------------------------------------------------
Chris and Michael Preslar have agreement to not officially release
any 32-bit LORD programs until Lord/32 is officially released.
I will go along with that decision regarding LORD IGMs.

As for release of Lpedit/32, if it is working reliably, I don't
see why it could not be released before Lord/32 is released.
Will discuss that WHEN there is a Lpedit/32 with Chris/Michael.

Any version of my LORD utilities/igms made for use with Lord/x
will be handled 100% by someone else. At present, it is non-issue
except perhaps regarding LPEdit. IF Lord/x and Lord/32 use identical
player.dat structure, then LPEdit/32 should run with both games.
----------------------------------------------------------------

These ANGEL IGMs have been converted to Manndoor by Chris:
Some are working well, KL Bank has usability glitches.

1) The Nice Hag/32. 2) The Ruined Castle/32.
3) Kiteria's Lord Bank/32. 4) The Love Shack II/32.

Submitted for conversion, don't have usable 32-bit betas yet:
1) Violet's Cottage II/32. 2) Chasware LPedit/32.
3) Turgeon's House/32.

* Chris is handling adding violet2.ans file use to VC II for me.

Will be submitted for conversion, after official release:
DDIGM to MannDoor: Hiding in the Shadows, Outlands Tavern.

I think I may be able to handle conversion from DDIGM to
MannDoor myself of The Gateway, Forest Outhouse, RHPTest,
and The LORD Cavern. RHPTest does not USE tool-lit code,
but it is inside its RHP language unit file until that
has been converted to use MannDoor/Chasware code routines.

Lordtype will not need conversion. Does not use tool-kit code.

Update of LordStat utility is being handled by Jason Brown.

I have no knowledge of how far he has gotten on its update to
handle creation of HTML bulletin files.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Long-Term development - Have not made outline of how these
events will work as of Apr. 11th, 2005.
------------------------------------------------------------

1) Ruined Castle. Castle Library event. Vampire Encounter event.
Both would be inside castle, although I see no problem with
Vampires being OUTSIDE castle as well.

Castle Ghost wish: Possibly allow player to wish harm to
befall an enemy. Will have to think about that and plan it out.

2) Other than being updated to use MannDoor as DOS Lord IGM,
I don't see that The Nice Hag needs any more events.

I'm going to play around in Delphi 6 with Nice Hag, but
don't know when I will have anything that can be used on BBS's.
   May 01 note.

3) Kiteria's Lord Bank - next DOS Lord development using Manndoor.
   1) Banking of Forest Fights. 1 player database VAR.
      a) Deposit code. b) Withdrawals code.
Limits? Should player have unlimited withdrawals?

   2) Banking of unused Skill USE Points. 3 player database VARs.
Limits: Use Points can't exceed 100. a) Deposit code.
      b) withdrawals code. Withdrawal limit/day possibly.

Items 1 and 2 probably would not take long time to work out.
Items 3 and 4 WILL take awhile to plan and thoroughly test I think.

   3) Player A transfers Gold to Player B. Both players have to be
customers of the IGM Bank for transfer to be allowed.
Limits: Perhaps limit # of Gold transfers per day; limit total
gold one can transfer each day (500 Million?/1 Billion?)

   4) Same as #3, except transfers are of Gems. Limits: Subject
to Lord's 32,000 Gems boundary. Other limits may be needed later.

   5) Third Usage report most likely will have to be created/tested.

4) Turgeon's House - Later DOS Lord development cycle.
   * Allow sysops to decide whether to allow 1 use per day or
multiple visits, up to maximum of 5/day of the IGM.
Except by sysop user, events will only be usable once/day.

   * Fairies in Closet - Skill Use Point replacement wish.
-- Will only work on the player's current Skill Class.
-- As with other wishes, fairy has to be in a good mood
or the wish will simply be ignored as they depart closet.

   * Random event 1: Turgeon comes home, finds burglar in house.
-- Have not decided if player gets killed or not. But they
will be beaten nearly to death and thrown out of igm.

   * Random event 2: In kitchen, you get sick, throw up, lose
some stats (HitPoints and Strength/Defense) after eating
     Food and/or drinking Beverage.

   * Random event 3: Get jumped by Old Lady in attic who then
has her way with player - probably will only apply to male
players. Loss of HitPoints, Loss of Charm. etc.

   * Random event 4: Clumsy warrior drops new weapon on feet and
is injured. It could happen, so it WILL happen occasionally.
Loss of HitPoints and Strength points. Perhaps Exp. Loss.

   * Random event 5: Players will have to risk LOSING Gold and
Gems while they go room to room. IGM should not always be
a no-risk program where you never get hurt, or never risk
death, but it just has worked out that way in the past.
