Aladdin's Palace v2.01 - LORD IGM update notes
By Donald Tidmore -- donald.tidmore@usa.net -- May 11, 2002
============================================================

IGM tested on a Pentium III 933 Mhz system, running MS
Windows Millenium Edition successfully. Usage notes:

In un-patched form, IGM is NOT usable above 400 Mhz due
to RTE200 problem. Author, Devon Brooks, has disappeared.
Unable to locate him via search engine. Unsure if it is
possible to find him via postal mail.

Both Pent2.exe and Tppatch.exe failed to make IGM usable
during my primary IGM testing phase last year. I tried
the ctbppat.exe program on the IGM this morning, and it
worked. It patched the Delay-Function routine, and when
installed in an Aladdin subdirectory (my choice of name)
of my LORD v4.07 Beta game, the IGM was usable.

Files Patched: AP.EXE, APCFG.EXE; Promo.exe. The latter
is an ANSI banner promoting another Blazing Fire Software
program. When it is closed, it reduces the DOS prompt to
a minimized window.

IGM Configuration notes: When you configure an option, the
program appears to be revising the next entry. Confusing
tactic. In Bank options, user is limited to 999 Gems; the
field only accepts 3 digits. User is also limited to just
below 1 Billion Gold; field accepts only 9 digits. Presumably
an registered version, which may not be possible to acquire,
would let user save more Gold and Gems, and so forth.

The IGM, once patched, works fine in Local Mode. I used
Node 0 configuration setup without problems. I have
incremented the version number by 0.01 due to the patching.
End of Notes - Donald.

Due to wording about distribution in one sentence in the
IGM's main docs file, I've decided it is the right thing
to do to remove this archive from distribution today.
If anyone wishes to acquire APV201.zip from me directly
they may contact me at ktidmore@bellsouth.net for a copy.

So, to honor Devon Brooks wording about unmodified distribution
of his IGM, I ask that others do not do any further distribution
of APV201.zip file. Thanks, Donald Tidmore.
