Attention: Lord/Lord II/Tournament LORD (and TEOS) authors:
Authors.txt file updated April 14, 2001:

This file is an information source for the Castle Camelot LORD IGM
Authors Newsletter. Issue #6 will be released on/around April 16, 2001.
It covers four months, January-April 2001. An addendum to be released
around May 1st, will cover any Lord news that is discovered after Issue
#6's official release occurs, for the remainder of April 2001.

Newsletter coverage: It is primarily oriented for LORD authors, and
LORD web-site developers, but includes material from TEOS authors at
times, and can include submitted material from Lord players. LORD,
LORD II, and Wildcat Tournament Lord, are the programs covered, and
are referred to simply as LORD usually. Send all e-mail to me at:
donald.tidmore@usa.net - and if you do not have an e-mail address you
can leave a message in my Castle Camelot web-site's Guestbook.
Once it is working, you will also be able to use the LordNews Entry
Form page, to send in short newsletter entries. Links to this page,
and to my Guestbook, may be found on my Castle Camelot LORD Links Page,
which is located at:
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/5389/camelot5.html.

Should anyone wish to, their thoughts on the recent releases of
LORD v4.06, LORD v1.02, and Planets: TEOS v2.02 would be welcomed
for any upcoming issue of the newsletter. Or thoughts on Wildcat
Tournament Lord. Since it is considered a dead program currently,
I am not really interested in anything relating to Worldgroup
Tournament Lord, but will use anything that is sent in about it.

Information provided by authors who have not previously contacted
me should include a listing of your Lord programs, if any, and the
address of any Internet web-site you have that is Lord-related. This
will be used in maintaining and updating my LORD web-pages on my Castle
Camelot web-site. When writing, please answer these questions:

1) Are you inactive or active. Examples to be considered active: You
have released a Lord program in the last 3-6 months, or you have updated
your web-site (significantly) in the last 3-6 months. Any web-site,
which has not been updated in over 6 months, any author who has not
released anything for LORD in a year or more, or authors who either
never respond to email or whose email accounts are closed, will be
designated a "Dead Site".

2) If you wish to be a contributor to the newsletter, will you provide
me updates on your Lord work, monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly?

3) If you have quit writing for LORD, LORD II, or Tournament LORD,
do you still support your programs? And are you willing to turn over
(or sell) your programs to another LORD author, including Korombos
and Michael Preslar? Lord II programs which are unsupported should
be transferred to Joel Gathercole, who has permission from Gameport,
to take over all such programs, and handle their continued support
and development. Currently, there is no known program to do the
same for abandoned Lord programs, or unsupported Tournament Lord
programs.

4) My Castle Camelot LORD Links Page -- available at:
   http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/5389/camelot5.html --
lists known LORD-related web-sites. Please let me know if you are
not listed, and I will add a listing for your site. If you are
listed already, and some of your programs are not listed, please
let me know which ones need to be added.

5) I am collecting information, to forward to Michael Preslar, and to
Joel Gathercole, who helps Preslar with Lord2 programming, on how the
various Lord II authors feel Lord II should be upgraded, or about any
current bugs that need to be fixed in it. Please send me any ideas or
thoughts you have for upgrading/fixing Lord II. Comments on future
upgrades of LORD, LORD 2, or Tournament LORD will also be appreciated.

Previous Issues information: Issues 1 through 3 were prepared as
Text newsletters, and released through my Listbot LordNews mailing list.
As they are updated over time, the most current version of these files
can always be obtained from my Castle Camelot web-site.

HTML Conversion versions were made of Issues #1, #2, and #3, and posted on
my web-site between April and June, 2000. Starting with Issue #4, all
issues are produced as HTML web-pages. A text version is prepared for
each issue, on the day it is officially released, and transmitted to
my Listbot LordNews mailing list, for emailing to subscribers.

There are, as of April 2001, six Lord newsletters issues available.
All LordNews text issue files, and their archive files, are stored on
my web-site in the Lordnews directory. LordNews HTML web-pages are stored
on my web-site, with all my other web-page files. The LordNews HTML issue
archive files are stored in my Archives directory.

The primary source for my Lord Newsletter files is my web-site. Secondary
sources, which are generally NOT updated as revisions are made, are the
DDS web-site, hosted by Ruth Argust; the BBS Archives web-site, hosted
by Mike Ehlert; and the Kiteria's Korner web-site, hosted by Bobby Queen,
and jointly maintained by Bobby and myself.

Archives of the HTML pages are listed as ccigm-1h.zip and upward.
Archives of the Listbot Text pages are listed as CCIGM-01.ZIP and upward.
To access the files, see the links in each newsletter issue's files.
HTML files are lower-case, and the TEXT files are upper-case.

         ------------------------------------------------------------
If any of you need to have your programs distributed for Lord, Lord II,
or Tournament Lord, and you do not already know how to do so, here's
contact information for the people who can help you with this. Also, you
can send your programs to me, and I will forward them to these people.

Distribution process for any LORD program:
For release on the Fidonet Lord echo, send files to Ruth Argust at
ruth@doorgames.org, and/or to Mike Ehlert at mike@picmicro.com.
Only the program's author, or a person with the author's written
permission to distribute their files for them, may send files to
Ruth Argust, and they must follow her rules, which are stated on
her web-site: http://www.doorgames.org.
------------
For distribution of Lord II programs, send them to Ruth Argust,
Mike Ehlert, Bobby Queen - wizards@shelby.net, Joel Gathercole -
greenie_23@yahoo.com, or send them to me, and I will handle the
distribution for you.
------------
If you are a Wildcat Tournament Lord author, you can also send
copies of your program to Shannon Talley - shannon.talley@fidotel.com,
who keeps them on his Fidotel web-site for his players' usage.

Currently the only persons doing Lord II IGM reviewing are Codax Dragon,
and Joel Gathercole.

Please note the following requirements for transmitting files to either
Mike or Ruth. All archives must be in .ZIP format, be checked for viruses,
and be virus-free, contain file_id.diz files, identifying the program.
For the DDS web-site, programs must be transmitted by the author, or you
must have their written permission to transmit their files for them.
Those needing more information should go to the DDS web-site at:
http://www.doorgames.org and download the ddsinfo.zip file available there.
         ------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks in advance for any advice, upgrade information, programs information,
website addresses, and so forth that you send me. All those who do help me
with this project will be acknowledged for their aid either in a Newsletter
or on my LORD Links Page.
