#MAIL
Command: "Mail"

One of the most powerful commands in this BBS. If you are fitted out with
the right userlevel you're able to send mails to receivers all over the
world ... or just to another BBS-user.

MAIL Prename.Name          (Prename.Name as in "Volker.Schuermann")
MAIL Alias (Alias as in "Sysop")
MAIL Shell-Account (Shell-Account as in "volkers")

These three commands will deliver a mail to a user on this host. If this user
has his own BBS account, the mail will be sent to his BBS-maildrop.
Otherwise his/her shell account maildrop will be filled ...

MAIL Host!User             (Host!User as in "unnet!Volker.Schuermann")
MAIL User@Host.Domain      (User@Host.Domain as in "volker@unnet.w.open.de")

Both commands will send the mail to a user on another host (if "host" or
"host@domain" are addresses of this host, the mail won't leave this host).

#MACRO
Command: "Macro"

For all lazy/intelligent users here is a way to simplify work! Just create
a new command to collect a group of commands:

new = b comp.os.minix, d, key, b sub.os.minix, b

The new command "new" will jump to board "comp.os.minix" and show the index
of new articels. If you hit (the) any key it moves to "sub.os.minix" and
does the same there.

Macro = Command Sequence
===========================================================================
andi  = mail andreas@xenox.ruhr.de
walt = mail Walter, forward weller!walterb
grp = mail volkers, forw xenox, forw stefans, forw joergg
sts   = mail Stefan S, forw stefans@coduck.ruhr.sub.org, forw unnet!stefans
in = +, dir, KEY, in
pp = portinfo, sleep 5, pp

The entries "in" and "pp" are demonstrating how to build recursive commands.
Use CTRL-X to break the run of such a command sequence!

If you have defined a macro AUTOEXEC it will be execute firstly after you
logged in.

#MESSAGE
Command: "Message"

few days or that you never answers mail or what ever ...

The option "$" gives a survey on all calls ever and a "!" will show the
workload of the BBS.

#PM
Command: "PM"

Move to the board with your BBS-maildrop. There you may check your incomming
mails and answer (reply) them.

READ article show article no. "article"
READ article-article display from "article" to "article"

The line "READ article" builds an exceptions ... if the listing of the
specified article is complete, the BBS shows a little menu to you. Type
a "?" at the prompt to see what actions are available there!

Using this form of the command "read" is the most convenient way to consumate
articles!!!

ested in those statistics, use one of the following options:

STATISTICS $ UUCP rates (only if UUCP supports this)
STATISTICS #               download statistics
STATISTICS %               download statistics (hitlist)
STATISTICS >               mailing statistics (XMD)

The option "$" depends on the systems UUCP-Support. Ask your Sysop whether
this system accounts UUCP-Rates or not.

USERS #                    users up-/download ratio
USERS %                    users & newsgroups
USERS $                    users & charges
USERS name same as "finger name"

If your level is to low, you won't be able to use the "#" option - don't
be angry it's not as much interesting as it seems to be (use "stati #"
instead :-)

#UUDECODE
Command: "Uudecode"

Decoding one or more article(s) with UUD/UUDECODE. The resulting file
is offered via download in users PM (mailbox).

#UPLOAD

Use this command to create a new article for any board or newsgroup on this
BBS. Depending on your userlevel this article will be sent with distribution

trust in documentations.
